Hockey is the oldest known ball and stick game apart from the Irish sport. Hockey was introduced in the esteemed Olympics in 1908 with England, Ireland and Scotland competing separately and entered the Asian Games at the third Asian Game in Tokyo, Japan in 1958.
The Premier Hockey League is a new national hockey competition launched in the country to perk up the sport of hockey. With cricket overtaking the spectator interest of late, this league was brought about in order to restore importance of our national game. India has won eight Olympic Gold medals and has achieved the World Cup once.....
CHL Memorial Cup 2007 Hockey championships are scheduled for May 18th to 27th May will be played at the Pacific Coliseum on the PNE Grounds in Vancouver. Tickets are on sale from 2nd October, 2007
