Russia and Spain in Hopman Cup final

Russian Nadia Petrova and Dmitry Tursunov will play against Spanish Annabel Medina Garrigues and Tommy Robredo in the final match of Hopman Cup on Friday. Spain has won the title in 1990 and 2001 previously whereas this is the first time for Russia to be playing in finals.
Russians made it to the finals beating French team 3-0 in the final Group A match.
The Spaniards 2-1 victory against Indian team Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna made them reached the finals.
France, Russia and Australia had won two ties each. However, it was Russia that moved forward as they had won more matches.
The same was with Group B, where, in spite of Spain and India both winning two ties
each; Spain went through as they had won more matches than India.
