Australian Open: Nadal battles into third round

World Number Two Rafael Nadal defeated India's Karan Rastogi in the second round of Chennai Open Championship on Thursday. The two-time French Open champion won the match in sets 6-4, 6-1. 

However, the Mumbaikar Rastogi kept the Spaniard on the court for 1 hour 24 minutes and held the fight in reserve. Rastogi attacked Nadal without backing off and tested Nadal before surrendering, giving him a feel of new India with an attitude and fast feet.

In the Opening Doubles match of Chennai Open on the 1st of January,  Nadal combined with Bartolome Salve-Vidal had defeated Shrichaphan and Ratiwatana 6-1 6-3.
