Eurobasket 2007
The 2007 European Basketball Championship, generally known as Eurobasket 2007, will be hosted by Spain between September 3, 2007 and September 16, 2007. It is the 35th regional championship held by FIBA (Federation Internationale de Basketball Amateur) Europe.
Preliminary rounds will be held from 3rd to 5th September between four groups A, B, C and D with four teams in each group. The top three teams of each group will move forward to the Qualifying Rounds to be held between 7th and 12th September.
The top four teams from each group will be eligible for the Quarter Finals. And the remaining four groups will play classification games for positions 9-12.
Quarter Finals will take place on the 13th and 14th September, and the four losers will play classification games for position 5-8.
15th September will be the Semi-finals and as a final point on 16th September, the winners will be decided.

The last team for Group A will be decided through a tournament that will take place in summer 2007 before the Eurobasket. Ten teams for this qualifying tournament are divided into three groups:
Group A: Bulgaria, Hungary and Bosnia & Herzegovina
Group B: FYR Macedonia, Sweden and Estonia
Group C: Israel, Belgium, Ukraine, Denmark
