Indian Olympics Association
Indian Olympic Association or the IOA is India's administrative body responsible for electing athletes to represent India at the Olympics. It also acts as the Indian Commonwealth Games Association that selects athletes for the Commonwealth Games. It was formed in 1927 with Dorabji Tata as its first president. In the same year it has been recognized as the oficial ody of Olympic organization by the International Olympic Committee.
The present president of the IOA is Mr. Suresh Kalmadi from the Indian National Congress. The association is hosting the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi.
